Mirrago Virtual Try On · Last updated 23 August 2026
This policy explains what data the Mirrago Virtual Try On app ("the app") processes, why, and how it is stored and deleted. The app is operated by MIRRAGO, KATHMANDU,NEPAL.
The app is installed by a merchant on their Shopify store. The merchant determines why shopper data is collected and is the data controller for it. We process that data on the merchant's behalf as a processor, and we act as a controller only for the merchant's own account and installation data.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Photographs you upload | To generate a virtual try-on image. Photos usually show your face and full body. |
| Generated try-on images | To show you the result, keep it in your try-on history, and display it in the cart and at checkout where the merchant enables that. |
| Email address, and name if you provide one | To save your try-ons and recognise you when you return. |
| Shopify customer ID when you are signed in, and a randomly generated browser ID stored in your browser when you are not | To link try-ons to you across visits without asking for your email again. |
| Product and variant viewed | To know which garment to render and to attribute a resulting add-to-cart. |
| Usage events — try-on button clicked, email submitted, photo uploaded, try-on completed, added to cart, discount used | To give the merchant aggregate analytics about the feature. Events are recorded against your email address. |
| Discount codes issued to you, and whether they were used | To apply and report on try-on promotions the merchant has enabled. |
For each installation we store the store domain, the Shopify access token needed to call the Shopify API on the store's behalf, the store name, contact email and billing country supplied by Shopify at install, the app's configuration settings, and API credentials issued for the store by Mirrago.
| Recipient | What they receive and why |
|---|---|
| Mirrago (try-on generation) | The photo you upload and the garment image, in order to generate the try-on. Mirrago also issues and manages the store's API credits. |
| Shopify | Generated try-on images are uploaded to Shopify's content delivery network so they can appear as line-item images in the cart and at checkout. Shopify also hosts the store itself. |
| Hosting and storage providers | The app runs on Railway, with a PostgreSQL database and file storage for uploaded and generated images. Where the store is configured to use S3-compatible object storage, images are stored there instead. |
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use shopper photographs to train models of our own.
Try-on records, photographs and generated images are kept until they are deleted. Deletion happens in any of these cases:
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because the merchant is the controller of shopper data, please direct such requests to the store you used. The store can raise the request with us, and Shopify's data request and redaction flows reach us directly.
Privacy questions can be sent to info@mirrago.com.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
